In a bright room, honestly, no. With the kitchen lights on it reads as a well-made ornament and the flame effect is subtle. That is true of every light ever made, but we would rather say it now than have you disappointed on day one.

Put it somewhere that gets dim in the evening and it does the thing you bought it for.

No mounting, no drilling, no wall bracket. The flame itself is a rigid moulded light column, and the dragon sits on top of it. The whole thing rises from a weighted flame-shaped base that simply stands on a flat surface.

Set it on a bookshelf, a desk or a bedside table and you are done. It is one piece, and it lifts and moves like any ornament.

Not a real flame, and that is the point. Inside is an LED module engineered to move the way fire moves. No heat, no smoke, no wax, nothing that can catch.

Touch it after eight hours of running and it will be cold. Safe on a wooden shelf, safe overnight, safe around children and pets.

8 to 10 hours of continuous light per charge, and about 2 to 3 hours to fill up over USB-C from any phone charger or laptop.
